Jeffrey Law was referred to me by a friend whose home he had designed beautifully. Hers was very elegant and chic and I wasn't sure if he would be comfortable designing something more casual and comfortable for daily life for me but she assured me he could do anything. From the start, Jeffrey was professional. As a first timer, I was a bit nervous but he communicated the process clearly and was punctual and organized which made me feel at ease. He listened to all of my crazy lifestyle requirements and really seemed to understand. I never felt pressured to have to live a certain way. Instead, he was more interested in absorbing what I needed and figuring out how to make it streamlined and beautiful. The scope of work included a light renovation updating everything visible (walls painted, floors refinished, kitchen cabinets and appliances) and all new furniture. As anyone who has ever done this before would know, there are always unexpected hiccups along the way, especially in NYC. Jeffrey was great about keeping me in the loop while shielding me from the stress. We stayed within budget and the only changes were things I added along the way. I couldn't have been happier with it when I moved in and have only grown to love it more over the past year of living here.

After we built our new colonial style home, I researched and spoke with several designers. What struck me about Jeff was his knowledge of the architectural style and comfort meshing it with our somewhat Chinese style and lifestyle. The scope included wall finishes, lighting, window treatments, furnishing, decor and art. I had never worked with a designer before and was unsure of the process. Jeff asked me a lot of questions about my taste, way of life, and just got to know me as a person. He listened to my ideas and brought back a design that exceeded anything I could have imagined, but still managed to hit it on the mark and blow my mind! I still can't believe my dining room is as beautiful as it is, covered wall to wall with hand painted Chinese scenery on silk... The whole project went seamlessly. Jeff and his team took care of everything from permits to coordinating contractors, managing the work site, and receiving and setting up all the furniture and decoration until the very last flower was perfectly in place.
